Coffee Essential Oil Uses and Recipes

About once a year, I try drinking a cup of coffee hoping I will like it. So far, not so good.

I love the smell of coffee and would love to like drinking coffee. Caffeine in the form of a delicious beverage sounds like the perfect start to my day. While I can’t seem to get myself to be able to drink coffee, I LOVE the wonderful, wakeful aroma of Coffee Essential Oil!

Coffee Essential Oil Recipes and Benefits

Let’s take a look at some of the toxin-free uses of Coffee Essential Oil and how you can use these benefits in great natural recipes.

Improves Skin Appearance

One of Coffee Essential Oil’s most prominent benefits is its ability to improve and promote healthier skin appearance. The oil extracted from coffee has high amounts of Vitamin E and fatty acids, which helps with cellulite and skin elasticity. It also has anti-inflammatory features which can calm redness and swelling of the skin. Its antioxidant properties also help with skin aging1!

Energizes

Just like a cup of coffee, Coffee Essential Oil’s aroma will help give you a natural energy boost. I love putting it in my diffuser to have the aroma going during my morning routine. Here are some of my favorite diffuser blends that use Coffee Essential Oil.

Uplifts

Another benefit of Coffee Essential Oil is that it has an uplifting aroma. Put this oil in a diffuser to give your mood a boost.2

Deodorizes

If you needed another good reason to diffuse Coffee Essential Oil, I’ve got one more for you! This oil is deodorizing. When you diffuse it, the oil will kill odor-causing microbes and replace it with the energetic coffee aroma.

Here’s What to Blend Coffee Essential Oil With

Our Coffee Essential Oil is pressed from roasted coffee beans and smells just like a pot of freshly roasted coffee.

These essential oils generally smell great with Coffee Essential Oil and a good place to start when creating blends using Coffee Essential Oil: Bergamot, Cedarwood, Juniper Berry, Neroli, Sandalwood, Peru Balsam, and Grapefruit Essential Oils.

How Coffee Essential Oil Works

Coffee Essential Oil is naturally rich in fatty acids and antioxidants making it great for your skin. It’s mostly composed of the naturally occurring chemical, Oleic Acid (about 79%).

As a mom, I get how tough mornings can be. I sometimes joke that the toughest part of my baby girl’s day is being separated from me by a shower curtain. Coffee Essential Oil helps wake me up so I can be my best for my kids. Its uplifting and energizing properties help me to stay motivated when mornings get challenging.

If the oil has been oxidized (left with the cap off for long periods of time) it is more likely to cause skin irritation. Check out this dilution chart for diluting this essential oil properly.
