Focus Essential Oil Blend

Ever find yourself daydreaming during a work meeting? We’ve all been there – it can be hard to keep your mind focused, especially when you’re tired, bored, or feel overwhelmed. All these things can keep you from getting your best work done.

This is where our Focus Essential Oil Blend comes in.

This blend is formulated with four different essential oils – Frankincense, Orange (Sweet), Eucalyptus (Globulus), and Cardamom. These essential oils not only blend beautifully but work together to combat mental fatigue. Let’s take a look at how these oils work together to improve one’s focus.

What I Love About the Focus Essential Oil Blend

essential oils for focus

I love this blend because it helps me serve others better. I love helping people make their homes more natural, but like anyone else, I have days where it’s harder for me to focus. On the days when my eyes seem magnetized to the window, this blend keeps me focused on my work.

The Best Essential Oils for Focus

Frankincense

One of the main reasons that we can lose focus is feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Frankincense Essential Oil has a very grounding, earthy scent. When used aromatically, it is known to have centering properties — without the side effect of tiredness.

Orange (Sweet)

Just like Frankincense Essential Oil, Orange (Sweet) Essential Oil is known to make you more present. I commonly use Orange (Sweet) Essential Oil in emotionally-soothing blends for my loved ones, as well as myself. I especially love that, unlike its other citrus counterparts, this oil is not phototoxic, making it perfect for skin application in addition to diffuser use.

Orange (Sweet) Essential Oil is one of my favorite essential oils for studying and concentration because it helps give you the boost you need to come up with your best ideas. Orange (Sweet) Essential Oil adds a wonderfully fresh, citrus top note to this blend that smells amazing alongside the other oils in this blend.

Eucalyptus (Globulus)

We all know the smell of Eucalyptus (Globulus) Essential Oil – it has a wonderfully fresh and camphorous aroma that is sometimes referred to as medicinal. If your parents have ever used a common chest rub on you, then you know full well what eucalyptus oil smells like! While it is great for supporting respiration, the emotionally therapeutic qualities of this oil are often left behind in the conversation.

Eucalyptus (Globulus) Essential Oil also has uplifting properties. Therefore, it is a great asset for combatting mental fatigue, making it an amazing addition to Simply Earth’s Focus Essential Oil Blend.

Cardamom

Spicy, sweet, and woody all at the same time, Cardamom Essential Oil is the perfect choice for this Focus Essential Oil Blend. Cardamom Essential Oil is naturally energizing while adding a refreshing, invigorating scent that is unforgettable.

This oil is considered a middle note, and I find that it adds that extra bit of pizzazz to the aroma of the entire blend. While it doesn’t have an overly strong aroma like Eucalyptus or Frankincense, Cardamom Essential Oil shines through in its own way.

Other Tips to Help You Focus

essential oils for focus

There are lots of different ways of masting how to focus, but here are our favorite ways to stay on track:

Set goals.

You can make a list of the things you want to accomplish. From there, you can check off what you’ve done. The sense of fulfillment after seeing all your items checked is AMAZING! Some people like to start with the tasks that will take more time and then put the easier tasks at the bottom of the list, however, I like to put the easier tasks towards the top so I have a feeling of accomplishment right off the bat!

Create a Focused Atmosphere

Start by putting a few drops of Focus Essential Oil Blend in the diffuser, and then remove clutter from your work/study desk. Having a messy environment will distract you from focusing on what you need to. It can overwhelm your visual cortex and interfere with your brain’s processing of information. Once your desk is tidy and clean, you will become more productive and efficient!

Music

If needed, have some headphones on. For some people, listening to a certain type of music can help them focus while others choose to work in silence.

Stay Hydrated

One of my favorite hacks is to always have my water bottle nearby. It only keeps you hydrated and helps keep you refreshed. Drinking water also helps you fight the feeling of fatigue and hunger. Sometimes your stomach may rumble, and it’s not because you’re hungry. A glass of water can take care of that. But of course, if you haven’t eaten in hours, you may want to take a break and eat a decent meal.

Give Yourself Space

One of the best things that you can do when you’re trying to focus is to limit people’s access to you. Not every phone call or text message is an emergency about your apartment building burning down. When you want to stay focused, put your phone on do not disturb mode, I often use the focus option during my work hours and I only set a few contacts for messages to come through. The same goes for instant messaging; you can set yourself as “away.” Once you’ve completed your task, you can check your messages!
