What I Love About This Oil Reed Diffuser Recipe
I love my essential oil reed diffuser because it is so versatile. I can use it to repurpose those old essential oil bottles sitting in my cabinet. The reeds do their thing and help diffuse every bit of oil left in the bottle. The aroma of the oils spreading through the room is also a great way to relax after a long day.
What’s in This Essential Oil Bottle Reed Diffuser
Holiday Spice Diffuser Master Blend
For this specific recipe, we used Holiday Spice Diffuser Blend which is perfect to diffuse for Thanksgiving. But you can use any essential oil or blend.
Bamboo Cap
This bamboo cap is both decorative and functional. It helps keep the reeds in place and prevents them from falling out. It slows down the rate of evaporation, ensuring that your diffuser lasts long enough to fully enjoy the fragrance. The cap also adds that natural-looking charm that looks good anywhere!
Diffuser Reeds
Not only are they decor-worthy, but diffuser reeds also serve an important function. They naturally disperse the oil into the air, creating a pleasant fragrance that can last for weeks.
Vodka or Pure Alcohol (Optional)
Vodka or pure alcohol will allow the essential oil to travel up the reeds more easily, resulting in a stronger fragrance. This is especially beneficial for thicker oils like Amyris or Myrrh.
Things to Remember When Using This Recipe
This is a diffuser recipe, so we’re not worried about skin contact with the Holiday Spice Diffuser Master Blend. We don’t have to dilute it.
This blend is not generally considered safe to use if you are pregnant. Consult your doctor prior to use.
This essential oil blend in this recipe is safe to use with kids age 10+. However, feel free to swap out the oils for a kid safe oil or blend.
