What’s in the Sugar Scrub Bar?
Carrier Oil
A carrier oil of your choice is needed for this recipe to add to the consistency! Some oils you can chose from include: avocado, almond, coconut, jojoba, hempseed, grapeseed, or olive oil.
Soap Base
A meltable soap base such as shea butter, glycerin, or goat’s milk soap base is needed for this recipe! Soap allows you to get clean while also getting silky soft skin!
Sugar
Sugar is needed to have the consistency of this bar! Sugar helps remove the dead skin off your body and leave you with fresh soft skin!
Love Essential Oil Blend
Love Essential Oil Blend is a combination of Amyris, Bergamot, Sweet Orange, & Ylang Ylang essential oils. It has properties that can increase romantic feelings.
Soap Dye (optional)
Soap Dye is optional in this recipe, but it adds to the fun! It allows you to customize your bar so it is completely yours!
Silicon Mold
You will need one of the following: silicon mold, ice cube tray, or mini muffin pan, you want a fairly small shape. I personally like using the silicon mold because it has proven to be the easiest to get the bar out of.
Things to Remember When Using This Recipe
This recipe is safe to use with children 10+.
Because of the Ylang-Ylang Essential Oil in this recipe, it is not recommended for people with sensitive skin.
Keep this recipe out of the reach of pets as the essential oils can cause irritation.

Sugar Scrub Bar Recipe
Sugar Scrub Bar Recipe with Essential Oils
Ingredients
1/4 cup Carrier Oil of your choice (avocado, almond, coconut, jojoba, hempseed, grapeseed, or olive oil)
1/2 cup Melt & Pour Soap Base (shea butter, glycerin, or goat’s milk soap base.)
1 cup Sugar
20 drops Love Essential Oil Blend
3 drops Soap Dye (optional)
Silicon Mold, Ice Cube Tray, or Mini Muffin Pan (you want a fairly small shape)
Directions
- Put your chopped soap base in a small bowl, melt it in a double boiler. Don’t let it boil!
- Add your carrier oil, give it a few stirs then add your sugar.
- Next, add 20 drops of the Love Essential Oil Blend.
- Mix them together. Next, pack them in silicone molds. I use these to easily pop them out later!
- Put them in the freezer and leave them there for about 20 minutes or until they harden up. Once they are hard enough, take them out of the silicone molds and store them in an airtight container.
- To use, simply crush them in your hand while you’re in the shower. Scrub your body and rinse. You’ll instantly feel the smooth skin you’ve always wanted!
