Roll-On Recipe for Blemishes

Ugh. Acne.

A study1 found that the percentage of people who enjoyed a clear complexion was greatest during summer and fall. Winter, on the other hand, tended to be a rough season; rates of moderate-to-severe acne leaped 11% among the study participants in winter compared to summer. Wowza.

It turns out that cold weather can cause an increase in sebum production2, which leads to clogged pores and more frequent breakouts. Luckily, there are ways you can help manage excess oil and soothe your skin so that winter doesn’t leave behind a trail of blemishes! Utilize essential oils to fight your blemishes with our Blemish Soother Roll-On!

What I Love About This Recipe

I love using essential oils to improve the appearance of my skin. This home remedy for blemishes roll-on will be a go-to whenever your skin needs a pick-me-up.

What’s in This Home Remedy for Blemishes?

Lavender Bulgarian Essential Oil

Lavender Essential Oil is one of the most well-known and commonly used essential oils in aromatherapy. This oil is great for soothing irritated skin and can help improve the appearance of skin. Its fresh, light, sweet-herbal aroma with floral and woody notes allow it to blend well with spicy, citrus, and floral essential oils just like the Palmarosa Essential Oil, which is also used for this recipe.

Palmarosa Essential Oil

Palmarosa Essential Oil is can be your go-to oil when your skin needs some soothing relief. This oil provides a natural cooling sensation to the skin, so it’s a great ingredient for any topical recipe.

Almond Oil

The carrier oil we used to dilute the essential oils for this roll-on recipe is Sweet Almond Oil.

Pores can become clogged from products, such as makeup, sunscreen, or moisturizers which will cause blemishes3. By adding this oil to the roll-on, not only it will give you the non-oily feeling when applied to your skin but it also nourishes and doesn’t clog pores.

Roll-On Bottle

Our 10ml amber-colored roll-on bottle is perfect for storing and using essential oils on the go.

Things to Remember When Using This Recipe

Always dilute an essential oil when using it on the skin. This essential oil recipe is unlikely to cause skin irritation when diluted properly. If the oil has oxidized (been left with the cap off for long periods of time), it is more likely to cause skin irritation. Check out this dilution chart for diluting this essential oil properly.
