Not only am I totally hooked on the aroma of this recipe’s essential oil blend, I’m also all for how easy it is to make and use these bath melts. Before I tried this recipe, I had no idea how to store bath melts, but the fact that you can keep these guys in the freezer answered my question! Then, once you’re ready to draw your romantic bath, all you need to do is plop your frozen melts into the warm water. So, if you’re wondering how to use bath melts, it’s as simple as that!

What’s in This Essential Oil Bath Melts Recipe?

Solid Coconut Oil

Because it’s ridiculously soothing and uber moisturizing, coconut oil ought to be a staple item in your natural skin care toolbelt. Coconut oil gets its soothing nature from its soft and melty texture. It slowly blends into your romantic bath and gently soaks into your skin. Meanwhile, you can blame its moisturizing abilities on the fact coconut handles two out of the three basic functions of a moisturizer product: it’s an emollient (an ingredient that uses fatty acids to fill in moisture-leaking gaps in your skin cells) and an occlusive (an ingredient that creates a protective and moisture-locking barrier over your skin)[i]. Oh, and if you’re wondering how to package bath bombs, coconut’s hard texture while frozen makes this recipe clean and easy to store.

Love Essential Oil Blend

While coconut oil works at nourishing your skin, Love Essential Oil Blend gives you a romantic confidence boost. I’m a big fan of using these aromatherapy bath melts in the morning. The subtle whiffs of this blend’s sweet aroma are nothing short of charming and uplifting. That being said, the oils in this blend give off a light and pleasant aroma, so you don’t have to worry about knocking anybody’s socks off with an overbearing, crazy potent smell.
