Heat Up Your Love Life With This DIY Romantic Candle Recipe

You know that woman in basically every awkward or corny chick flick that has the flirting skills of a ten-year-old boy? I am that lady. That person is me.

Putting your flirting game face on is a challenge, especially when you don’t even know the rules let alone what game you’re playing. But hey, the classic moves are always a good starting point, right? Movies, flowers, candles… ya know, the real classic and timeless stuff. While I’ve been told I have mediocre movie taste, and I know next to nothing about keeping plants alive, I can help you out with candles— toxin-free, DIY, romantic candles at that!

This DIY candle recipe is the secret to creating love candles that work wonders on both the love and the smells in the air. With a little bit of toxin-free wax and some romantic essential oils, you can whip together a DIY candle that kindles your inner flirtatious confidence. So go get ‘em, tiger; this natural love candle’s got your back

What I Love About This Sensual Candle Recipe

I love candles, and I do not love flirting. This recipe uses my interest in candles to make me dislike setting the mood less. It’s a happy, fun, creative candle compromise.

What’s in This Natural Love Candle?

Soy Wax

Soy wax serves as a natural alternative to the toxin-laden wax options found in several mainstream candles. This wax is also easy to work with, has a longer burn time, and cuts down on burning emissions[i]. Unnatural chemicals or a wax that works better…yup, that sound like a pretty easy decision to me

Beeswax

Beeswax also allows your candle to burn toxin free. This ingredient can literally brighten up your love life as beeswax emits a long-lasting light that’s quite similar to the spectrum of sunlight. On top of this, its melting point and density will keep dripping to a minimum and hold your DIY love candle true to shape in light of how soft soy wax and coconut oil can be.

Coconut Oil

You’ll add some solid coconut oil to your love candle recipe for consistency’s sake. Candles made solely with soy wax sometimes have awkward wet-looking and frosty patches. With the help of a little coconut oil, your candle will have an even, creamy appearance. This recipe’s beeswax will prevent your coconut oil from making your candle too soft though, in case you were worried!

Love Essential Oil Blend

Hey, we all need a romantic confidence booster sometimes. That’s why Love Essential Oil Blend was carefully created to increase your romantic feelings. Its soft aroma radiates affection and has a sweet way of lingering in the air. Ooh la la is right.

Cotton Candle Wick

In order for your candle to create that special spark, you’ll need a dependable wick. Guess what? The November Recipe Box includes a cotton wick for this recipe, so there’s no need to look for one on our own!

Narrow Jar

Do you have some old glass jars laying around the house? Give those guys a purpose. Small, 2-3 oz narrow jars allow your love candle to burn best. P.S. I recommend any dollar store or thrift shop if you can’t find anything at home!
