Homemade Hot Stone Therapy Massage Oil

Are you in need of a spa day?

Daily stresses can wear down our bodies. When we are stressed, our muscles tighten in response. While massages, in general, are a great stress soother, Hot Stone Therapy Massage in particular is specifically helpful in easing tight muscles and stress.

With this At Home Hot Stone Massage Oil recipe, you can bring the spa right to your home! Infused with aromatic essential oils, it can be considered an Aromatherapy Massage as well!

What I Love About This Hot Stone Massage Oil

I love the feeling of the massage stones against my back and neck when I’m feeling tight, plus the aroma of the essential oils also adds to the whole experience. With some relaxing music playing, I really feel like I’m in a spa! For more at-home spa day ideas, check out this blog.

What’s in This Hot Stone Therapy Massage Oil?

Sage Essential Oil

Sage Essential Oil is a must-have ingredient in this recipe. First, because it supports joint function. Secondly, because it promotes circulation, and lastly, it can both energize and calm!

Energy Essential Oil Blend

Infused with Lemon, Eucalyptus, and Peppermint Essential Oils, Energy Essential Oil Blend provides a cooling and soothing sensation to the skin.

Fractionated Coconut Oil

Fractionated Coconut Oil is used to dilute the essential oils in this recipe so they are safe to be used on the skin. Coconut oil is also great for the skin because of its moisturizing properties.

Massage Stone

Massage stones are heated up before use, and they retain the heat when being used on the skin. The heat from the stone can ease tense and tight muscles.

Things to Remember When Using This Recipe

Always dilute an essential oil when using it on the skin. This essential oil recipe is unlikely to cause skin irritation when diluted properly. If the oil has oxidized (been left with the cap off for long periods of time), it is more likely to cause skin irritation. Check out this dilution chart for diluting this essential oil properly.

If you are pregnant, consult your doctor prior to use.

This essential oil recipe is safe to use with kids aged 10+.
