Spring is in no doubt my favorite season because of the flowers and the lovely weather of course.

To always feel and smell Spring all year round, I get my favorite floral essential oils. These days, I turn to my Jasmine Essential Oil.

Cleans

One of the reasons Jasmine produces its essential oil is to help fight infection and disease. We can use this cleaning property1 to help treat and clean. It’s also been used to help clean the air.

Uplifts the Mood

Jasmine’s happy floral scent is uplifting2. This boosts energy and uplifts the mood to help a person feel happy. It can even wake up feelings of romance.

Relaxes

Jasmine Essential Oil can help you relax. This makes Jasmine a great option to try for soothing tense muscles. Create a roll on with Jasmine for on-the-go support.  

Skin Care

If you have dry, flakey skin, Jasmine Essential Oil is your best bet. One study has found it to help regenerate the skin cells and speed up wound healing4. It is frequently used to treat dermatitis and eczema. It’s also been shown to help reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks. Jasmine Essential Oil Blends Well With

This essential oil has a floral, sweet tea-like under-toned aroma that blends well with Geranium, Rose, Lavender, Orange, Tangerine, Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, Clary Sage, Sandalwood, Rosewood, Frankincense, Neroli, Melissa, and Cypress essential oils.

Science, History, and Background of Jasmine Essential Oil

It comes from a plant in India and the oil is extracted by solvent extraction. The flowers are hand-picked before dawn to take advantage of their intense aroma during that time.

Over a ton of flowers are needed to make at least four pounds of the pure oil. Yes, it’s labor intensive! It also accounts for the higher price of this oil. Its main constituents are as follows: 58% Esters, 8.85% Diterpenoids, 8.61% Monoterpenols.  

Jasmine was used in perfumeries in France and was used medically in India, China and Arabia. Today, it is served as tea in China and used as garlands as gifts to guests in India.

What I Love About Jasmine Essential Oil

I love the sweet and soothing aroma of this oil! It brings me so much joy to diffuse it around my house when the weather outside doesn’t seem to want to cooperate with me!

Always dilute an essential oil when using it on the skin. This essential oil is unlikely to cause skin irritation when diluted properly. We recommend using this oil at 0.5% dilution rate or less. Check out this dilution chart for diluting this essential oil properly. 

This essential oil is generally safe to use if you are pregnant. Consult your doctor prior to use.  Essential oils are not recommended to be used topically during the first trimester.

This essential oil is safe to use with kids age 2+.
