DIY Warm and Cold Compress With Essential Oils

You know that feeling when you try to get out of bed in the morning and your knees just…creak? Or when you finish a workout and every muscle in your body is SCREAMING at you? Yeah, we’ve all been there. Try this warm and cold compress with essential oils the next time your muscles need a little support!

This recipe is super easy to make. A warm compress can help to improve circulation and relax muscles, while a cold compress can help to reduce swelling and inflammation. Read on to learn how to make this recipe!

What I Love About This Comfort Compress

It’s so nice to be able to choose between a hot and cold compress, depending on what I need at the time. I find that it really helps me to relax and feel soothed. Plus, it’s just a really convenient way to get my aromatherapy fix!

What’s in This Comfort Compress Recipe?

Fractionated Coconut Oil

Fractionated coconut oil is a great way to dilute essential oils and enjoy the benefits of a safe, effective, and natural compress. Plus, it’s a great way to add a little extra moisture to your skincare routine.

Copaiba Essential Oil

Copaiba Essential Oil is great for soothing muscles, which is why it’s perfect for this recipe. In addition, Copaiba Essential Oil has a calming effect on the body and mind, making it a great choice in supporting your body’s health.

Relief Essential Oil Blend

If you’re looking for a safe and effective way to ease discomfort, the Relief Essential Oil Blend is worth trying. When added to a hot or cold compress, it can soothe discomfort and help you feel more relaxed.

Hot or Cold Water

Both hot and cold water can be effective in providing relief. A cold compress can be used to relieve pain and swelling, while a hot compress can help to loosen tight muscles.

Reusable Compress Pad

As the name suggests, this compress pad is reusable, so you can use it over and over again. Whether you’re dealing with a headache, muscle ache, or an injury, a reusable compress pad is a handy tool to have on hand.

Things to Remember When Using This Recipe

Always dilute an essential oil when using it on the skin. This essential oil recipe is unlikely to cause skin irritation when diluted properly. If the oil has been oxidized (left with the cap off for long periods of time) it is more likely to cause skin irritation. Check out this dilution chart for diluting this essential oil properly.

If you are pregnant, consult your doctor prior to use.

This essential oil recipe is safe to use with kids aged 10+.
