DIY Soothing Essence for Face

Skincare products are ridiculously expensive. The dollars you spend don’t even guarantee safety and reliability, so why bother? Why spend $30-$50 for one product to get beautiful skin, when you can create your own all-natural skincare products with essential oils–and save big?

Presenting our newest skincare DIY recipe: a wonderful soothing essence for the face! This recipe is a lightweight moisturizer that works great as a primer for makeup or as you prep your face before a face serum. This all-natural facial essence will help promote bright and vibrant skin without the threat of those harmful chemicals secretly lurking in those commercial skincare and personal care products.

What I Love About This Soothing Facial Essence Recipe

soothing facial essence, essence for face

I do not wear makeup because I find it heavy and uncomfortable on the face. This essence for the face is exactly how I want the products I use on my face or skin to be! It’s lightweight, water-based, and all-natural! Once the product settles on your face, you won’t feel stickiness whatsoever. It’s amazing!

What’s in This Essence for the Face Recipe

Vegetable Glycerin

Vegetable Glycerin is popular in the cosmetic industry because of its amazing moisturizing power. As a humectant, it attracts water and binds it to the skin to keep it hydrated, soft, and supple. Vegetable glycerin is also perfect for cracked and irritated lips because of its anti-irritant and anti-inflammatory effects1.

Distilled Water

Distilled water is used to create a DIY hydrosol for this recipe. This also keeps this recipe’s consistency thin and lightweight.

Sweet Almond Oil

We specifically chose almond oil for this recipe because it’s not too oily, but still highly moisturizing. It is also packed with vitamins A, B, and E, Omega-3 fatty acids, and zinc that are all helpful in promoting healthier skin.

Together, these properties can reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and cell damage, protect skin from the sun, prevent premature aging, and heal acne and facial scars. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease

Palmarosa Essential Oil

Palmarosa Essential Oil is a great oil for the skin. It has antiviral and antibacterial properties2 that are effective in treating acne and eliminating impurities. Palmarosa Essential Oil also works wonders in maintaining skin hydration and radiance and balancing sebum production. Moreover, the oil’s sharp spicy, floral, rosy aroma is very soothing and calming. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease

Beauty Within Essential Oil Blend

Infused with the best essential oils for the skin, Beauty Within Essential Oil Blend is another amazing addition to this recipe. Myrrh, Frankincense, Rosemary, and Lavender essential oils in this blend help improve complexion by renewing dull skin and reducing fine lines. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease

Things to Remember When Using This Facial Essence

If you are pregnant I recommend skipping the Beauty Within Blend in this recipe as it contains myrrh which is not considered safe during pregnancy. Consult your doctor prior to use.
