Beautiful Skin Roll-On: A Homemade Acne Treatment

You know it’s so ironic that we try to make our skin feel and look better by using products that can potentially cause harm to our body. In fact, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning regarding the use of topical acne products. It says that “the use of certain acne products containing the active ingredients benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid can cause rare but serious and potentially life-threatening allergic reactions or severe irritation.” I sure wouldn’t risk that, how about you?

Since the threat of acne and other skin irritation are just as real, we made an effective homemade acne treatment in a roll-on bottle using all-natural and pure essential oils. This recipe is safe, does the job, and will even improve your mood. What a catch!

What I Love About This Homemade Acne Treatment

I love that this recipe is in a roller bottle. It made storage convenient and application easy-peasy. Plus, I don’t have to deal with thick and sticky products that are outright uncomfortable to put on the face.

Beauty Within Essential Oil Blend

Simply Earth’s own beauty secret in a bottle, Beauty Within Essential Oil Blend, is a must in this recipe. This blend includes Myrrh, Frankincense, Rosemary, and Lavender Essential Oils that are all wonderful for the skin and will not only soothe acne but will also reduce fine lines and wrinkles and improve complexion. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease

Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea Tree Essential Oil is famous for soothing acne for a reason. It has both anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties1 that are essential in treating acne and other skin irritations. Also, the slightly medicinal with a woody, camphorous aroma of this oil has uplifting and confident-boosting effects. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Amyris Essential Oil

The woody, vanilla-like scent of Amyris Essential Oil is so soothing and blends well with the other oils in this recipe. Moreover, its antiseptic property2 promotes skin healing. Other benefits of Amyris Essential Oil for the skin include regenerating skin cells, reducing signs of aging, and adding hydration and elasticity to the skin. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease

Fractionated Coconut Oil

To make this recipe safe to be used topically, we added fractionated coconut oil to dilute the essential oils. Other than being a carrier oil, coconut oil is also super beneficial in maintaining skin beauty and health.

Roll-On Bottle

For easy application, we made this recipe in a roll-on bottle. The amber-colored bottle is great at storing essential oils and keeping their effectiveness.
