Looking for a beauty product that does double duty and makes you feel good about what you’re putting on your skin?
Say hello to the Wineberry Glow Balm—your new go-to for a naturally radiant tint on both lips and cheeks. It’s the kind of multitasking essential that feels like a little act of self-care every time you use it.
In a world overflowing with products, we’re loving the shift toward less is more—especially when “less” means fewer synthetic ingredients and more skin-loving nourishment. This balm brings the best of both worlds: a pop of color and a soft, dewy glow, all wrapped up in ingredients you can actually pronounce.
This tiny tin of wine-tinted goodness is about to become your everyday favorite.
Why You’ll Love This Balm

There’s a lot to love about the Wineberry Glow Balm, but here are just a few reasons it’ll earn a permanent spot in your makeup bag:
💧 It’s nourishing, not just pretty.
This balm is packed with ingredients your skin will actually thank you for—think coconut oil, beeswax, and essential oils that hydrate, protect, and leave your skin feeling soft and smooth.
🍷 That “just a sip of wine” tint.
The fuchsia mica and red iron oxide combine to give a gorgeous burgundy hue that’s bold in the tin but blends out beautifully on the skin. It’s subtle, buildable, and perfect for both lips and cheeks—because who doesn’t love a 2-in-1?
🛠️ Simple ingredients, simple tools.
No fancy equipment or hard-to-find ingredients here. If you’ve got a microwave (or a small pot), a bowl, and a spoon, you’ve got everything you need to whip this up in minutes.
What’s In This Glow Balm Recipe

🧴 DIY Mineral Makeup Base
This silky powder is the foundation (literally!) of the color in your balm. DIY Mineral Makeup Base helps the pigments blend evenly and gives your balm a smooth, spreadable texture that’s easy to apply to both lips and cheeks.
🌺 Fuchsia Mica Powder
This shimmering pink powder brings brightness and a subtle sparkle to the tint. Fuchsia Mica Powder gives your balm that radiant glow without being over-the-top—just the right amount of sheen for a healthy, fresh-faced look.
🧱 Red Iron Oxide
This earthy pigment gives your balm depth and richness. Red Iron Oxide is the key to that beautiful wineberry tone—grounded, warm, and totally wearable.
🥥 Fractionated Coconut Oil
Lightweight and fast-absorbing, Fractionated Coconut Oil helps the balm glide on smoothly and moisturizes without feeling greasy. It also helps carry the essential oils evenly through the balm.
🥥 Coconut Oil (Solid)
This solid version of Coconut Oil adds a creamier texture and extra moisture. It’s rich in fatty acids that keep lips and skin soft and protected.
🕯️ Beeswax
Beeswax gives your balm structure and staying power. It keeps the formula firm in the tin, locks in moisture, and helps the color last longer on your skin.
🌿 Beauty Within Essential Oil Blend
This lovely blend supports skin health while adding a soft, naturally uplifting aroma. Beauty Within Essential Oil Blend brings the “spa” vibes to your everyday routine.
🌲 Cedarwood (Himalayan) Essential Oil
Cedarwood Essential Oil adds a grounding, woodsy scent and also helps support skin clarity. Just one drop gives the balm an earthy depth that balances the sweet notes.

Thing to Remember When Using This Balm

Always dilute an essential oil when using it on the skin. This essential oil recipe is unlikely to cause skin irritation when diluted properly. If the oil has oxidized (been left with the cap off for long periods of time), it is more likely to cause skin irritation. Check out this dilution chart for diluting this essential oil properly.

Some essential oil recipes are not generally safe to use if you are pregnant. Consult your doctor prior to use.

- 🏠 FROM YOUR HOME
Face mask
Directions
- In a small bowl, thoroughly blend together the Mineral Makeup Base, Mica Powder, and Red Iron Oxide until you reach one uniform color with no clumps*. Wear a face mask during this step to avoid inhaling any airborne particles while mixing.
- In a double boiler (or in the microwave using short intervals), melt together the Fractionated Coconut Oil, Coconut Oil (Solid), and Beeswax. Stir intermittently.
- Once just melted, add the essential oil and stir.
- Add the pigment mixture to the oil mixture. Stir until thoroughly combined.
- Pour mixture into the tin (reheat the mixture if necessary to pour smoothly) and allow it to cool completely.
- To use, apply to lips and cheeks and blend into the skin for a beautiful and natural-looking blush.
Notes
- If you love making DIY makeup, I recommend investing in an inexpensive coffee grinder and using that to blend your makeup bases. A mortar and pestle or a silicone spatula in a bowl also work to thoroughly mix your pigments and powders.
- There are mini measuring spoons that can be used to measure out small volumes like 1/16 tsp and 1/8 tsp that I like to use rather than estimating when making DIY makeup.
💡 Customization Tips

One of the best parts of making your own balm? You get to tweak it just the way you like it. Here are a few simple ways to personalize your Wineberry Glow Balm:
🎨 Play with the pigment.
Want a deeper berry shade? Add a pinch more Red Iron Oxide. Prefer a softer flush? Ease up on the mica or use a bit more Mineral Makeup Base to dilute the intensity. You’re in control of the color payoff, so feel free to experiment until it’s just right.
🌼 Create your signature scent.
Not into the woodsy vibe of Cedarwood? Try Lavender for a calming floral twist, Sweet Orange for a fruity pick-me-up, or even Peppermint for a fresh, tingly feel. Just be sure your essential oils are skin-safe and used sparingly—your lips are sensitive!
💛 Switch up the base.
Want an even richer, creamier texture? Swap out the solid coconut oil for shea butter or mango butter. They’re both ultra-moisturizing and perfect for dry or winter-weather skin.
DIY is all about making it yours—so don’t be afraid to experiment. That’s half the fun!
