What’s In This Lip Paint Recipe

Almond Oil

A deeply moisturizing oil that glides smoothly over your lips, helping to keep them soft and hydrated without feeling heavy or sticky. Almond Oil is the perfect base for this lip paint, nourishing your skin while allowing the color to shine through beautifully.

DIY Mineral Makeup Base

This natural Mineral Makeup Base provides the foundation for your lip paint’s color and helps the pigments blend evenly. It’s gentle on the skin and creates a smooth, natural finish that enhances your lips’ natural beauty.

Fuchsia Mica Powder

A shimmering mineral pigment that adds a playful pop of berry-pink color, Fuchsia Mica gives the lip paint its subtle glow and makes your lips look vibrant and fresh, just like a kiss of wild berries.

Red Iron Oxide

This natural pigment adds warmth and depth to the color, balancing out the bright pink with a hint of earthy red. Red Iron Oxide helps create that perfect berry tone that’s flattering on all skin tones.

Grapefruit (Pink) Essential Oil

Known for its uplifting and refreshing scent, Grapefruit Essential Oil adds a bright citrus note to the lip paint. It also has antioxidant properties that help protect and nourish your lips.

Cedarwood (Himalayan) Essential Oil

Cedarwood Essential Oil brings a warm, woodsy aroma that balances the citrus freshness. It’s calming and grounding, plus it supports healthy skin, making this lip paint a treat for both your senses and your lips.

Notes

Pro Tips to Make It Your Own

Go Glossy: Want a glossier finish? Swap out almond oil for castor oil. Castor oil sits beautifully on the lips for a thicker, high-shine look that lasts longer.

Switch Up Your Scents: Feel free to experiment with other essential oils like sweet orange, vanilla, or peppermint to create your own signature fragrance. Just remember to keep essential oils to a drop or two for safety.

Customize Your Color: Play with the amount of mica and iron oxide powders to get your perfect berry shade—more mica for shimmer, more iron oxide for deeper color.

Use Clean Tools: Always make sure your mixing bowl, measuring spoons, and containers are clean to avoid contamination and keep your lip paint fresh.

Store Smart: Keep your lip paint in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its color and scent.

Patch Test: If you’re new to essential oils, do a quick patch test on your wrist to ensure you don’t have a reaction.
