What’s in The Tranquil Shower Melts Recipe?

Tranquil Shower Melts Recipe

This recipe uses simple, natural ingredients that combine to create the perfect aromatherapy experience in your shower. Here’s what you’ll need:

Coconut Oil (solid)

Coconut Oil softens and nourishes the skin, while also helping the melts set up beautifully. It creates a smooth texture that helps the melts release their soothing essential oils.

Beeswax

Beeswax strengthens the melts and allows them to dissolve slowly in the shower. This ensures that the therapeutic aromas last throughout your shower experience.

Peace and Quiet Essential Oil Blend

This essential oil blend is known for its calming and soothing properties. It creates a sense of emotional calm, helping you relax and unwind in the shower.

Lime Essential Oil

Lime Essential Oil adds an invigorating, crisp scent that cleanses and uplifts the mood, energizing you while balancing the emotional calming effects of the Peace and Quiet Essential Oil Blend.

Simply Earth Soap Mold

This mold is perfect for shaping your shower melts into uniform, easy-to-use pieces, ensuring a consistent experience each time.

Things to Remember When Using This Recipe

Always dilute an essential oil when using it on the skin. This essential oil recipe is unlikely to cause skin irritation when diluted properly. If the oil has oxidized (been left with the cap off for long periods of time), it is more likely to cause skin irritation. Check out this dilution chart for diluting this essential oil properly.

If you are pregnant, consult your doctor prior to use.

This essential oil recipe is safe to use with kids aged 10+.

Turn Your Shower
into a Spa-like Escape

Ingredients

  • From Your Box:
  • ¼ cup Coconut Oil (solid)

  • ¼ teaspoon Beeswax

  • 20 drops Peace and Quiet Essential Oil Blend

  • 16 drops Lime Essential Oil

  • Simply Earth Soap Mold

  • From Your Home:
  • ~2 Tbsp Distilled Water

Directions

  • In a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, gently heat the Coconut Oil and Beeswax until fully melted. Once melted, remove from heat.
  • Add the essential oils to the melted mixture and stir thoroughly to ensure even distribution.
  • Carefully pour the blend into a silicone mold. Place the mold in the refrigerator and allow them to cool completely until solidified.
  • To use, cut the shower melt into 4-5 pieces. Position one piece on the floor of your shower or bathtub away from the direct water stream, allowing it to dissolve gradually. For extended use, consider cutting each melt into smaller portions. Please be aware that the melting oils can make surfaces slippery; exercise caution during and after use.

Notes

  • Tip: Worried about coconut oil in your pipes? This recipe uses a small amount that melts easily with hot water. Just run warm water for 30 seconds after use to help it flow down smoothly—no clogs, just calm.
