DIY Pink Lemonade Eye Shadow

Looking for a way to add a pop of color to your eye makeup routine? Try out this Pink Lemonade-Inspired DIY Eye Shadow! With the bold fuchsia mica powder and all-natural ingredients, you can feel good about what you’re putting on your skin.

Why Ditch Regular Eye Shadow?

Are you tired of wondering what you’re putting on your face when you apply regular eyeshadow? Mainstream beauty care products can be harmful due to the harsh chemicals they contain. In addition, many of them test on animals, which may not align with your personal values. To avoid these issues, skip regular eyeshadow and opt for a more natural and safe makeup product. By switching to non-toxic and cruelty-free beauty products, you can feel good knowing that your makeup enhances your overall appearance and aligns with your values.

What’s in This DIY Eye Shadow Recipe?

Mineral Makeup Base

A Mineral Makeup Base helps the powder go on smoothly and evenly without clumping or creasing. It also helps the product to stay on the skin longer.

Fractionated Coconut Oil

One key component in our Pink Lemonade Eye Shadow is Fractionated Coconut Oil. It acts as a binder to create a pressed powder and also provides a luxurious and silky feel on the skin. This ingredient is a game-changer for our product’s overall texture and quality.

Fuchsia Mica Powder

Fuchsia Mica Powder gives this eye shadow its pink hue. This powder adds a beautiful color to the eyeshadow, giving it a shiny, shimmery effect that perfectly catches the light. What’s more, the pale pink tone of this powder creates a soft, feminine look that’s perfect for any occasion.

Time: 5 minutes
Dilution Rate: n/a
Estimated Shelf Life: 12 months
Yield: ~5 mL

Ingredients

  • FROM YOUR BOX
  • 1 tsp DIY mineral makeup base

  • 1 pinch of fuchsia mica powder

  • ¼ tsp fractionated coconut oil

  • Small cosmetic tin

Directions

  • In a small bowl, mix together the makeup base and mica powder.
  • Add fractionated coconut oil to the mixture and stir until your mixture is crumbly and uniform in texture.
  • Pour the mixture into the cosmetic tin. Use the back of a spoon or similar tool to press the mixture into the tin. This will create a pressed powder feel to your makeup.
  • Apply eye shadow to eyelids with a clean finger or makeup brush.

Notes

  • Tip: You can see the shade of pink made in this recipe at the top of this recipe card. You can adjust this shade by adding more or less fuchsia mica powder and red iron oxide. If you add more fuchsia mica powder to make a darker eye shadow, more fractionated coconut oil may be needed to create a pressed powder.
  • Note: With this recipe, you are working with fine powders. It’s a good idea to wear a mask while making this to avoid inhalation.

How to Store Homemade Eye Shadow

Keep your product in cosmetic tins or small sealable container. Store in a cool, dry spot; somewhere out of direct sunlight where it’ll be protected from temperature fluctuations. With these tips in mind, you’ll be able to enjoy your homemade eyeshadow creations for months to come!
