No matter how much we clean and try to keep our house neat and tidy, things tend to get grubby over time–and your essential oil diffuser is no exception.
How to Know It’s Time to Clean
If you’ve been having the following thoughts, or have noticed your diffuser acting strangely, it might be your diffuser saying, “clean me!”.
Not diffusing as effectively
“I thought this scent filled the room more last time… Where did my field of Lavender go?”
Not spewing as much mist
“My diffuser used to practically be Old Faithful; what’s going on?”
Suddenly getting louder
“Is my diffuser pretending to be a vacuum?”
Making a grinding noise

Note: Showing signs or not, if you use your diffuser consistently, it’s best to clean it once a week to prevent buildup.
Guide on How to Clean Diffuser

Step 1. Unplug your diffuser from the main power supply and remove the cover.
Step 2. Pour out any remaining water from the tank.
Step 3. Put 1 tablespoon of vinegar in the water tank and add warm water.
Step 4. Leave for 5 minutes and drain the solution from the tank.
Step 5. Wipe with a clean cloth, avoiding ultrasonic vibration plate.
Step 6. The ultrasonic vibration plate may be cleaned gently with a cotton pad.
