The Key Ingredients for Your Blissful Bath Bombs Recipe

Bath Bombs Recipe

This bath bombs recipe combines a handful of simple ingredients that work together to create the perfect bath bomb. Here’s a closer look at what you’ll need:

Citric Acid

This ingredient is essential for creating that signature fizz we all love in bath bombs. It reacts with baking soda to create bubbles that slowly dissolve in the water, giving you a relaxing bath experience.

Natrasorb Bath Powder

This bath powder absorbs essential oils and helps release them into the bathwater. It ensures that the tropical lime scent lasts longer, creating a delightful and aromatic atmosphere.

Fractionated Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is a skin-loving ingredient that adds moisture and softness to your bath without leaving a greasy residue. It’s the perfect way to keep your skin feeling smooth after your bath.

Lime Essential Oil

Lime essential oil is the star of this recipe. It’s bright, fresh, and full of energy—perfect for revitalizing your senses and turning your bath into a rejuvenating escape.

Baking Soda

Baking soda softens both the water and your skin, adding a silky smooth feel to your bath. It’s also a key player in the fizzy reaction when combined with citric acid.

Cornstarch

Cornstarch is used to add a smooth, silky feel to the water. It helps improve the texture of the bath water, making it feel luxurious against your skin.

Water

A small amount of water is added to bind all the ingredients together. It’s just enough to hold the mixture together without affecting the fizzy reaction.

Bath Bomb Mold

To shape your bath bombs into those perfect little spheres, you’ll need a bath bomb mold. These molds help form your bath bombs into a fun and consistent shape.

If the oil has oxidized (been left with the cap off for long periods of time), it is more likely to cause skin irritation. Check out this dilution chart for diluting this essential oil properly.

Bath Bombs Recipe:
A Tropical Escape in Every Bath

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Citric Acid

  • 1 tablespoon Natrasorb Bath Powder

  • ¼ cup Baking Soda

  • ¼ cup Cornstarch

  • 2 teaspoons Fractionated Coconut Oil

  • 4 drops Lime Essential Oil

  • ½ teaspoon Water

  • Bath Bomb Mold

Directions

  • In a medium bowl, mix together all dry ingredients.
  • In a small bowl, mix together Fractionated Coconut Oil, essential oil, and water.
  • Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients while stirring. Do this slowly to avoid prematurely creating the fizzy reaction.
  • Squeeze the mixture in your palm; if it holds its shape, it’s ready to pack into the mold. If it doesn’t, add little more Fractionated Coconut Oil and stir until it reaches a consistency that holds its shape well when squeezed.
  • Fill one half of the mold with bath bomb mixture and lightly pack it. Sprinkle some excess bath bomb mixture on top. Repeat with the other half of the mold. Firmly press the molds together until they touch all the way around; this should create a vacuum seal.
  • Release the seal on the mold by tapping it with a spoon. Gently remove the bath bomb from the mold and set it out to dry. Repeat to create two more mini bath bombs. Allow the bath bombs to dry for 24 hours—the bath bomb will be very fragile during this time.
  • Store the bath bomb in a cool, dry place. To use, place 1-3 bath bombs in a bath once it’s filled. The bath bomb will slowly fizz away for an uplifting, aromatic, and skin nourishing bath.
